Daytime Face-Wash Essentials

Part Two: Daytime Face-Wash Essentials. Going to make this as short and sweet as possible.  These products fall under clean beauty.  (Two of three products are from Beautycounter and I will be working on a future post highlighting more of their products).

1. Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser

Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser With Saw Palmetto And Mint 150ml/5oz

This was a game-changer for me when I began incorporating this into my face-wash routine. If you read my previous post on the nighttime face-wash essentials, you know that the Norwex body cloth is my go-to for removing all things make-up before bed. The Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser is my morning go-to in the shower, as it is gentle and soothing and has never caused me to break-out (it took me years to figure out the best products to use for my face [and of course what I put into my body affects my skin but that is another post for another time]). As with many products, a little goes a long way and this can last me anywhere from six to eight months.  This product falls under Clean at Sephora's label meaning no parabens, formaldehyde, mineral oil, coal tar and other unpleasant ingredients (also contains less than 1% of fragrance)!

2. Beautycounter Charcoal Cleansing Bar

Charcoal Cleansing Bar

If you haven't heard of Beautycounter, they are a beauty company that is committed to bringing you, the consumer, safe and clean beauty products. They go beyond what is legally acceptable by U.S. standards and have The Never List which is comprised of 1,500 questionable or harmful chemicals that are never used in their products. This list includes 1,400 ingredients banned by the European Union.  Now that you have some background on Beautycounter, their charcoal cleansing bar is another morning favorite. I can definitely tell a difference when I use this bar in the AM as my skin does not look or feel as oily. This bar, as Beautycounter notes, absorbs impurities without drying out your skin and uses ingredients including coconut oil, green tea and Japanese binchotan charcoal (yes, I had to look that up and this is what I found about binchotan charcoal: https://www.nourishedlife.com.au/article/73873/what-binchotan-charcoal.html

3. Beautycounter Countercontrol Matte Effect Gel Cream | Oil-free

Countercontrol Matte Effect Gel Cream - Oil-free Moisturizer
I believe the name of this cream speaks for itself.  Another wonderful product designed to control oil and prevent clogged pores.  It is common knowledge that no matter your skin type, you need to moisturize/keep your skin hydrated. The key is finding moisturizers that work for you and this is one I found which treats my skin well. Beautycounter has an array of products so if you would like to learn more or order products, comment below or direct message me on Instagram @jessitupordown and I can connect you with a Beautycounter Consultant 😊

As always, thanks for checking this page out. I hope you found this information useful and would love to hear from you!

❤ Jess
